7.6.11. - Wow, do you feel that? No, it's not the sunlight against my skin. No, it's not the heat coming off the streets. And no, it's the mist coming from a hydrant that has been wrenched open. That feeling? It's the chilly blast of my air conditioning pummeling my face. Yes, I am spending as much time indoors these days because I know that NYC is on the cusp of the intense July/August/Hell heatwave that we all know and love. Fortunately however, when I am not indoors, I am doing a lot of traveling, some for work, some for fun, which I of course love. Atlanta, DC, Oahu (what, whaaaat?!), it definitely breaks up the summer better. Work has been great, albeit intensely crazy so booking it for a few days is nice. I love NYC, but you know, sometimes you just need to get away.

Speaking of getting away (ready for a fantastic segue), nothing has been pulling me out of the workspace more than the good music that I have been listening to of late. New tracks from some of my favorites like Mika, Coldplay and Penguin Prison, plus the discovery of some really outstanding new artists like Studio Killers, Xelle, Foster The People, and Two Door Cinema Club. So for you, my loyal reader(s), I present to you all of these, plus new tracks from Eric Prydz, Girls Aloud and the return of Aqua! Yes, Barbie Girl Aqua!

Oh, and I had to throw in The Countess' new song "Chic, C'est La Vie" because...well, I just had to really. Download link is below. Enjoy!!
