2.18.11 - The tides are turning my friend(s). The weather is in wonky as all hell. Countries are revolutioning (it’s a word, deal with it). Christina Aguilera can’t sing a national anthem for shit. What do we make of this? The apocalypse? The dawn of a new age? Nah, It’s just February. Ridiculous, nearly-Springesque February. We all get a bit crazy this time of year, you know with ValDay and all those damn ridiculous red heart Russell Stover boxes. Or perhaps Groundhog Day just tugs at your heart strings for some strange reason. Either way, this has been a month wrought with heartache and pain worldwide. Countries like Egypt and Bahrain are in upheaval, the Biebs was snubbed at the Grammys and Uncle Leo died! Terrible and sad as it may, we need to get through this friend(s).

How you ask? Well many ways. Number one, I recommend all my gal pals out there to go check out my new blog, ‘The Secret Ingredient’ over at MoxieQ. Its filled with fun food tips, recipes and insider secrets. Yeah, I’m an insider, who knew! Second, some good music always soothes the soul. I present to you, my gorgeous 28th superfantastic mixtape! What do we have on this edition, well a slew of new music to get your pulse racing, you blood boiling and your body a-moving. Highlights include a few gorgeous covers by Ellie Goulding and Vampire Weekend and a new song by my favorite British chanteuse Adele. A stand out song is by new discovery The Go! Team and their song ‘Buy Nothing Day’. When the snow starts falling, take a day off and go run around in the flakes in Central Park, this is the perfect song for doing nothing but having fun! I also recommend you checking out the song ‘Cocaine Blues’ by Escort, a 17-piece disco orchestra. Take you pants off, raise your hands in the air and dance your face off, this song is sexy, fun and exuberant! Finally, in addition to all of that, we have some new songs by Chris Brown (look, I’m totally on team RiRi, but this is a good song produced by Benny Benassi), plus a retro 80’s hit by Mya (welcome back!) and some club bangers by Radio INK, Florrie and Christoph Andersson.

February may be blah, but good times abound.
