So I have a routine when I'm unemployed. It's not an exciting one, but it's what i stick to.
9:00am: I wake up and start to watch the Today Show, which I started tivo'ing earlier in the morning.
9:30am: I check my email and Facebook, shower, and get dressed.
9:50am: Throw on my glasses and my Sheckler Reds and head out the door to El Beit which is my local hipsteresque coffeeshop where the music ranges from Arcade Fire to Metallica and everything in between. 10:00am: Grab a cup off coffee and a table.
10:15am - 11:00am: IM all of my friends, chat about LOST, RHWoNYC, 30 Rock or whatever was on the night before. Check Facebook.
11:00am - 3:00pm: Job hunt on all of the usual sites. Check Facebook.
3:00pm - 3:30pm: Procrastinate as to whether I should go to the gym in my building later whilst checking Facebook.
3:30pm: Grab lunch...gotta love $5 Footlongs, aka "the unemployment special"!
3:30pm - 5:30pm: Eat said footlong, watch some tele, relax, gym it, check Facebook on the elliptical.
Really, every day is like this. Sometimes I'll break up the monotony with a trip to the grocery store, or maybe I'll jaunt into the city for one reason or another, but I need to gets myself a new job, so I need to stay focused. Today was a fun exception, Kimmy met me at El Beit and we walked Basil over to the dog park at McCarren Park..Ugh, I love Baz, he's a great pup, so chill, it's mildly hilarious.
Tonight, I have the
Curbed party for the new
EDGE building here in Billsburg. Looking forward to pizza from
Motorino, beer from the
Brooklyn Brewery and wines from
Uva...should be a good time.
Sorry that today's post isn't exactly exciting, I'm getting quite exciting about heading back to Bloomington tomorrow with my IU crew...details tomorrow!
